Anne Blankenship

Executive Director, West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association

Anne Blankenship is the Executive Director of the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association.   Prior to her role with WVONGA, Blankenship practiced law in Charleston, West Virginia for fifteen years at the law firms of Babst Calland and Robinson & McElwee, PLLC.  Blankenship’s practice focused on the energy sector, including environmental and regulatory issues for the oil and natural gas industry. She has provided legal counsel to major industry trade associations and energy companies on environmental issues, as well as represented their interests before the West Virginia Legislature, state agencies and regulatory bodies. 

Blankenship graduated from Marshall University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1997 and an M.S. in Biological Sciences in 2005. She attended Capital University, where she received her J.D. in 2002. While in law school, Ms. Blankenship was inducted into the National Order of Barristers.
