Director of Business Development and Senior Consultant Ann Green Communications
With three decades of experience, Kathy Cosco has a varied background in the communications industry.
She spent nearly 20 years as the spokesperson for Cabell Huntington Hospital, where she managed relationships with the media, oversaw the development of informational and marketing campaigns and planned events and activities to promote the hospital’s services. Kathy helped navigate the hospital through several crises including an 18-day strike, a bomb threat, a natural gas leak, and numerous high-profile incidents in which victims were treated at the hospital’s trauma center.
She left the hospital to become director of communications for the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, where she communicated the actions of the agency to the media and the public. She was at the DEP when the Marcellus Shale play first began in WV, and helped the agency communicate with the media as their interest changed from mountaintop mining to horizonal drilling.
Kathy left the DEP to join Frontier Communications to serve as the company’s state manager for government and external affairs. After nearly four years in that position, she left to join Ann Green Communications where she uses her extensive experience with media relations, community relations, public engagement and crisis communications to help clients develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies.
