Ron is a seasoned business economist and consultant whose experience spans the chemical and plastics, energy, and automotive industries. He has consulted to a wide variety of businesses, trade associations, government agencies, investment companies, and law firms. With more than twenty-five years of experience, he has assisted clients by developing creative strategies to solve a diverse set of problems and economic issues. Prior to joining HIS Markit, he was Vice President of Charles River Associates and Vice President of Data Resources/McGraw-Hill where he founded their chemicals and plastics service. In addition to his consulting activities, Ron is an Executive Professor in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University where he teaches a popular course on Sustainability in the Business Environment. He co-authored a book, “A Primer on Sustainability,” that focuses on the challenges and opportunities of creating a more sustainable business environment. He is the Founding Director of the Business Sustainability Initiative at the University and was a founding director of the New England Water Innovation Network. Ron earned a BA in economics (Tulane) and a PhD in business and applied economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
